Overview
Karnival of the Arts (KOTA) is a vibrant festival that brings together live music, flow performers, visual artists, and a diverse community to celebrate creativity and connection. With its unique triple-stage setup and immersive atmosphere, KOTA offers a one-of-a-kind experience that’s as dynamic as the audiences it attracts.

Despite its growing popularity, KOTA faced challenges in expanding its reach and increasing ticket sales. With a limited digital presence and resources stretched thin, the festival needed a fresh strategy to connect with new audiences while engaging its loyal community. Over the course of eight months, I partnered with KOTA to revamp their brand identity, enhance social media engagement, and boost ticket sales with a targeted content and advertising strategy.

Through creative storytelling, engaging motion graphics, and a cohesive digital presence, KOTA achieved a 28% growth across all metrics, including a significant increase in followers and ticket sales. This case study highlights the strategies and solutions that transformed KOTA’s online presence and amplified its impact.

As the video editor for KOTA East’s 2024 ad, I focused on creating a seamless, visually engaging experience that highlights the festival’s magic.

 

From breathtaking shots of performers to intimate moments within the crowd, each scene was chosen to reflect the vibrancy of KOTA’s community.

Brand Identity

Karnival of the Arts (KOTA) already had a vibrant and creative logo designed by its founder, but the branding needed refinement and cohesion. My role was to organize and elevate the brand identity by creating a comprehensive brand guideline sheet. This document streamlined the festival’s aesthetic, specifying exact colors, typography, and photography style, ensuring a cohesive look across all platforms and materials.

Beyond visuals, I helped shape KOTA’s messaging and positioning, defining its unique voice and character. Through in-depth market research and user persona development, we identified KOTA’s core audience and crafted messaging that resonated deeply with their values. This insight was key to designing targeted ads that increased engagement and ticket sales.

The result? A polished, unified brand identity that not only captured the spirit of KOTA but also empowered collaborators and creators to maintain consistency, building trust and recognition among their growing community.
